Pragati Maidan Delhi World Book Fair 2018 Tickets Price, Dates and Useful Information

New Delhi World Book Fair 2018 is all set to begin from 6 January 2018 and it will last up to 14 January 2018. This year, the event is covered in half the area as compared to previous year’s event due to redevelopment of Pragati Maidan. 20,000 sq. meter area is allocated to book fair as compared to 40,000 area of last year. Pragati Maidan book fair is one of the most happening event of Pragati Maidan after the trade fair. Every book lover of Delhi and nearby are are waiting for this 9 day long event.

Two book fairs are organized at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. One is organized in the month of August-September, which held in small level as compared to this fair. New Delhi World Book Fair is known as NDWBF in short and it is Asia’s largest book fair. Publishers from around the world took participation in this fair. At this fair more than 800 publishers of India are taking part. 40 countries are are also taking part in the fair including Pakistan.

Dates for New Delhi World Book Fair are 6 January 2018 to 14 January 2018. Timings of the fair are from 11 AM to 8 PM everyday. This event will run for total 9 days in Delhi’s Pragati Maidan.

Book fair tickets are affordable so that all the book lovers can choose and buy their favorite from 1600 counters of book fair. Book Fair Ticket rates are:

Adults: 30 Rs per entry

Children up to 15 Years of age: 20 Rs

Senior Citizen and School Students: Free Entry

Tickets are available from 50 metro stations of Delhi metro. Visitors can also buy Delhi Book fair tickets online from the ITPO official website. Tickets are also available on the Pragati Maidan ticket counter No. 1 and 10.

World Book Fair Facilities and General Information

All the basic facilities are available inside the stadium for the visitors like drinking water, washroom, etc. Multiple camera’s are installed inside the complex for the safety and security for the visitors. Entry in the fair is allowed from the gate no. 1, 8 and 10. Wheel chair facility is available from gate no.1 of Pragati Maidan complex. Pragati Maidan metro station of Blue line is the nearest metro station near the event.
